    Daggerwing Health is seeking a Director of Strategic Planning with a background in consumer marketing to join our dynamic team in New York!

    About the Job

    As a collaborative member of several high-profile accounts, you’ll be key part of the senior client service relationship team for all brand activity ranging from campaign development, print, digital, social, and mobile, to CRM and related initiatives. The ideal candidate: will be passionate about healthcare; dedicated to providing exceptional client service; have considerable experience developing breakthrough, market-shaping insights and ideas that result in brand growth; and a superior track record of understanding the consumer, their journey, and our digital world. At the heart of this position is strategic planning, distilling research and data analytics into meaningful insights and strategic recommendations. This also means clearly articulating the thinking behind our work, ideas and POVs. We’re looking for someone with consumer experience
    launching brands in CPG, finance, beauty; over-the-counter and digital health categories a plus; and comfortable working in an integrated agency team.

    This position is based in New York and will require client related travel.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Serve as the main client-facing planner and brand strategy lead in client meetings
    • Guide/partner with the creative team on creative briefs, concept development and creative campaigns
    • Lead/collaborate in the development of strategic POVs and presentations, including customer journeys
    • Leverage data analytics, big data into unique insights and strategic recommendations 
    • Develop core competencies, influence skills/experiences of team members to increase their knowledge and ability to add value to the agency and clients 
    • Demonstrate proactive thinking by anticipating client needs 
    • Participate in business development activities as needed IND13


    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor degree from an accredited 4-year college/ university in advertising, marketing, communications, psychology, public health or similar area; master’s degree a plus
    • 8+ years consumer agency experience; working with highly regulated brands/categories a plus 
    • Recent consumer launch experience for two or more over the counter medicines, CPG, and/or primary care pharmaceutical products
    • Advanced understanding of integrated marketing principles including digital, direct, brand and database marketing
    • Ability to synthesize information from various sources to create an actionable point of view and direction for a brand 
    • Exceptional oral and written communications skills; a comprehensive, strategic, and systematic thinker; highly creative with excellent conceptual skills 
    • You have exceptional listening skills 
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills 
    • Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, agency team members and external partners
