    We have a small, dynamic and youthful team in our Toronto office specifically focused on helping senior-level executives accelerate growth through C-suite alignment, customer journey mapping, organizational design and marketing transformation. Within our holistic framework, we guide our clients to help them make strategic decisions primarily in the area of marketing and sales, while also extending to other core areas of their business (e.g. organizational structure, culture and processes). We identify root causes, facilitate decision-making, create tactical plans, improve processes and recommend how results can be measured. Our experience spans a variety of industries and has included clients such as Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, 3M, HP, Johnson & Johnson, and P&G.

                                                   

    Opportunity & Responsibilities

     

    You will be a part of a multi-disciplined consulting team working on a variety of clients and initiatives. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a key contributor to client strategy and content development on projects, and at times, will also co-lead projects alongside a Managing Consultant, Associate Principal or Principal. Your role will involve being client facing, ensuring client deliverables and expectations are met in a timely fashion by the project team, and managing yourself and junior project team members in coordinating research, analysis, and preparation of client deliverables across our offerings.  Daggerwing Group is a horizontal organization – everyone plays an active role in meeting client needs regardless of the task, which means at times you may be driving all elements of a project. Finally, you will be expected to support mentorship and coaching opportunities for the most junior team members and contributing to the company culture. This position can quickly lead to fast progression/heightened leadership opportunities within the company.

    The summary of responsibilities outlined below is representative of an individual with the highest level of experience and qualifications. The defined responsibilities for this role are to an extent flexible and may be adjusted to better align with the successful candidate’s level of experience and qualifications.
     

    Strategy and Content Development

    • Support projects from concept to development and implementation, including the development of proposals, deliverables, discussion documents and facilitation of brainstorming sessions

    • Begin to articulate client/project strategy and Daggerwing Group capabilities in written and presentation formats

    Analysis and Content Development

    • Extract key findings and derive insights based on data, analysis and client discussions and summarize insights into actionable recommendations/decisions for the client
    • Lead the development of deliverables and recommendations based on strategy determined by the project team
    • Compile, research and prepare insight reports and documents for clients and internal teams (e.g. industry and trend analysis, competitive audits, best practice research)
    • Display strong writing skills and effective storytelling techniques to convey complicated messages and facts in a simple, easy-to-digest manner

    Client Engagement

    • Provide meaningful insights and contributions to client conversations and actively participate in client meetings and presentations
    • Manage/facilitate required communications between the client and the Daggerwing Project Team to ensure project success
    • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, articulating questions, ideas and recommendations in a clear and compelling way

    Project Management and Delivery

    • Lead and/or oversee day-to-day management of projects and review work for quality assurance; ensuring standards are being met
    • Independently create/manage deliverables with minimal oversight from project leads
    • Develop project plans, in collaboration with the Project Team, identifying required tasks, interdependencies, timelines and work back schedules

    Business Growth and Development

    • Participate in business development opportunities, with a focus on developing proposals and supporting the pitching process

    Team Management, Leadership and Support

    • Take a leadership role in local office and company events/strategic initiatives as well as culture building initiatives
    • Support the growth of junior staff, providing in-the-moment coaching, feedback/input and seeking opportunities for their ongoing development

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • Undergraduate degree in business or MBA
    • 3-5 years of experience in consulting and/or marketing/brand planning and strategy; customer/category insights; business development; sales
    • Career interest in consulting
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication and storytelling skills
    • Effective relationship management
    • Creative problem solving and conceptual thinking skills that can be applied tactically to deliverables or conceptual to strategies and frameworks
    • Strong analytical skills and is detailed oriented
    • Project management skills – is able to effectively manage their time and prioritize multiple and sometimes competing tasks
    • New business development is an asset
    • Comfortable with traveling internationally and has a valid passport
