We are seeking a Business Manager, responsible for providing financial support to our client account teams. This role will work closely with client account management teams to develop, monitor and manage client budgets for client marketing program activities and be responsible for supplying timely, accurate, concise and complete financial data. Additionally, this position will assist at times in the development of pricing for all new business and organic growth opportunities.

 

The Business Manager will report into the Controller and be an integral partner to our healthcare marketing agency and offshore studio account management teams. It is essential that the candidate is a positive and solutions-oriented role model who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial grounding, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will achieve success by:

  • Assuming ownership of all client SOWs on behalf of account management; managing and supporting the financial planning process across all account management teams including iterative updates to SOWs and budget
  • Maintaining and updating revenue trackers and generating weekly reports for internal review as well as for review with clients as directed by account management team
  • Monitoring client budgets and providing ad-hoc reporting (including review of actuals v. budget, etc.); ensuring key information is provided to appropriate individuals and teams regarding budgetary issues
  • Assisting in the preparation of pricing for new business opportunities, as needed; providing ongoing guidance to generate scopes of work and client proposals for new business
  • Delivering against all day-to-day, intra-agency requests  
  • Being aware of all existing financial processes and policies agreed upon by parent company and key client(s)
  • Representing agency as primary financial contact for parent company queries and requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in a client finance, accounting, or similar role
  • Excel whiz
  • Advertising/professional service experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Positive and professional approach
  • This position will be based in New York
