You will be a part of a multi-disciplined consulting team working on a variety of clients and initiatives. As a Managing Consultant, you will be the key strategist and client lead/co-lead on projects assigned to you. You will have responsibility over managing your project(s) end-to-end and leading Project Teams comprised of Consultants and/or Senior Consultants to deliver against client needs/deliverables. Daggerwing Group is a horizontal organization – everyone plays an active role in meeting client needs regardless of the task, which means at times you may be driving all elements of a project. Finally, you will be required to act as a mentor, guiding and supporting the progression of junior team members and contributing to the company culture. This position can quickly lead to fast progression/heightened leadership opportunities within the company.

About the Job

Strategy and Action Plan Development

  • Lead and manage projects from concept to implementation, including the development of proposals, deliverables, discussion documents and brainstorming sessions, with little oversight from Senior Management
  • Be able to articulate client/project strategy and Daggerwing Group capabilities in written and presentation formats
  • Distill complex information into key themes, ideas and actions, recognizing nuances and incorporating client/industry insights
  • Confidently lead/conduct client stakeholder interviews and meetings during audit/discovery process

Client Engagement

  • Build and own strong client relationships, acting as a key client contact and strategic advisor to clients for assigned project(s)
  • Manage/facilitate required communications between the client and the Daggerwing Project Team including communication of project updates, deliverables and key strategies/communications to client(s)
  • Plan, lead and participate in client meetings and facilitated workshops relating to assigned project(s)

Project Management and Delivery

  • Lead Project Team(s) on one or more client projects, providing oversight and exhibiting complex project planning skills
  • Outline the project plan, in collaboration with the Project Team, identifying required tasks, interdependencies, resource constraints, red flags, timelines and work back schedules, and share with Senior Management for approval
  • Delegate day-to-day project management tasks/activities to Project Team and provide guidance and support on a continuous basis while managing and tracking project budgets and staffing resources

Business Growth and Development

  • Actively participate in business development opportunities, at times taking a leading role in the proposal and pitching process
  • Seek new opportunities for growing/expanding work with existing clients
  • Effectively network internally and externally and attend key industry events in local markets to identify and establish relationships that can lead to new business

Analysis & Content Development

  • Identify and manage internal and client facing research and analysis needs to support client deliverables/projects/proposals
  • Review (and provide guidance to Project Team on reviewing) client research to extract key findings and derive insights based on data, provide analysis and summarize insights into actionable recommendations/decisions
  • Leverage storytelling techniques in order to convey complicated messages and facts to clients in a simple, easy-to-digest manner

Team Management, Leadership and Support

  • Manage performance of team at a Project and individual level and drive accountability for self and others
  • Take a leadership role in local office and company events/strategic initiatives as well as culture building initiatives
  • Actively manage junior staff growth, seeking new opportunities, providing in-the-moment coaching, providing feedback/input and conducting performance reviews to propel their development


  • Undergraduate degree in business or MBA
  • Experience in consulting and/or marketing/brand planning and strategy; customer/category insights; business development; sales at a similar level
  • Career interest in consulting
  • Strong leadership skills and has led a team of 2-3 individuals that directly/indirectly report to them
  • Strong written and verbal communication and story telling skills
  • Creative problem solving and conceptual thinking skills that can be applied tactically to deliverables or conceptual to strategies and frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills and is detailed oriented
  • Project management skills – is able to effectively manage their time and prioritize multiple and sometimes competing tasks
  • Comfortable with traveling internationally and has a valid passport
